Another day, another survey about teenagers viewing porn.
This one is from the University of Alberta and it looks at 13 and 14 year olds from rural areas. Surprise, surprise, one third of boys that age have seen porn.

I always look to see what the percentage of females is in these surveys, just as a comparison, and also as an indicator of changing perceptions towards porn among young people.
Here’s the stats:
* 70% of females reported accessing sexually explicit media content at least once.
* 8% of females had accessed porn “too many times to count”.
* “Girls reported more accidental or unwanted exposure online and tend to view porn in same-gender pairs or with mixed groups.”
Of course, it’s not great that kids that young of either gender are viewing porn. And it seems that their parents aren’t talking to them about it either, which is the real problem.
