I’ve got both DVDs of the early Sesame Street episodes. It’s a bizarre thing to watch because I remember so much of it. Viewing all those little segments triggers memories of my childhood, and I remember the emotions and thoughts I associated with each bit of animation or footage. I always liked this frog one.
The funny thing about the old 1970s Sesame Street is how permissive and relaxed it was about childhood. Stoner characters, psychadelic concepts, pure silliness… I think my childhood was better than the ones the kids experience today.
