Before I got started in online smut I worked as a librarian and a journalist. I used to regularly write for Australian Women’s Forum, a great women’s sex mag that was unfortunately closed due to excessive censorship. AWF was partly the inspiration for For The Girls. FTG is more like a women’s magazine, with naughty bits added.

My blog has been online since June 2004 (old entries are here) although I installed the new WordPress version in January 2006. This blog mainly looks at developments in porn for women, an aspect of explicit content that has been ignored for a long time. It also takes in women’s issues, sex in general, the politics of porn, and anything else that gets my attention. I want this to be a newsy kind of blog, and also a good read.

Of course, the blog also features recommended sites and a few free pics.

And now, shall I put some labels on myself? Well, here it is: I’m in my 30s, I’m straight, I’m happily married and I’m monogomous. I realise this probably makes me quite the boring sex blogger. Everybody else in the blogging world seems to be swinging nightly with persons of varying sex and engaging in all kinds of BDSM mindfuck naughtiness. (Or at least, that’s what it looks like from my home office LOL). But I’m just a very simple girl, living in a relatively small town. I don’t show my boobs or appear in photos… I don’t think I have the looks to qualify as talent. I’m really just a writer with a long term interest in sex.

If I do write about sexual adventures, rest assured that it’s all just pretendy made up fun. My imagination is a far wilder place than the more mundane space that is my everyday life. But I suspect that’s probably the case with the majority of us.
