Boasting a top prize of £1,000, the Erotic Photographer of the Year Prize is organised by The Erotic Review, a publication that claims the erotic image has become a ‘victim of its own success’.
A spokesperson explained that the internet has eroded many of the traditional ways for photographers to show off their work, citing falling demand for ‘glamour’ magazines.
‘Despite the seemingly endless supply of erotic or pornographic imagery, the reality is that opportunities for photographers to present their work are more limited than ever before,’ added the publication.
