Yes… that post title is a bit obvious given all the statistics and rants I’ve previously posted.
Anyway, the latest figure from a survey is this:

Women said they surfed the ‘Net for pornography for 11/2 hours per week, while the average man lingered online about an hour longer to leer at lusty images…
Lucy Kaylin, executive editor of Marie Claire, said “it did sort of surprise me” that 17 percent of women surveyed are surfing the ‘Net for porn.
“I think of that as being a really male activity, but with the ‘Net, we have more access than ever to porn and I think you’re going to see those numbers rising in the coming years,” she said.
The numbers have already risen – Neilsen Netratings said 30% of women were surfing porn in 2003. But maybe Marie Claire readers are a little bit nicer than the rest of us.
The statistics are from a joint survey in Esquire and Marie Claire looking at men and women’s sex habits.
The sample was 1700 people and also found that 94% of women have sex less than five times a week (Five? Who moved the goalposts? What happened to the benchmark three?).
The survey’s somewhat haphazard questions also found:
* 31% of women preferred missionary position
* On average women have sex with 11 people in their lifetime
* 35% of women were willing to try sex on a plane
* Only 16% of women in their 20s liked having natural (untrimmed, unwaxed) pubic hair
* Women masturbate 2.8 times a week (I’m not sure what a 0.8 wank entails… maybe that third one doesn’t quite hit the spot).
