Admittedly, they&#8217;re six months late with the awards, but the piece does discuss women&#8217;s erotica in an interesting way.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>As for the opposite of feminist pornography, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153any film made with female coercion\u00e2\u20ac\u009d would qualify, says [Chanelle] Gallant. She stresses that feminist porn is not a genre. You can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t identify it by pointing to certain aspects of storyline, sexual content, or its status as soft or hardcore. Feminist porn does not look like something in particular; it acts like something in particular.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The article also says there&#8217;s &#8220;no feminist porn community&#8221; but I&#8217;m not sure that&#8217;s entirely correct. Over the last year or two I&#8217;ve got to know a group of writers and filmmakers &#8211; Tristan Taormino, Audacia Ray, Violet Blue, Petra Joy, Erica Lust, Tony Comstock and even Chanelle Gallant &#8211; who are all striving to create their version of porn. We may not all agree on what that should be, but there is a lot of discussion and interaction happening between us.
