\"Print\"I’m pleased to announce that Bright Desire is now sponsoring the 2014 Feminist Porn Conference<\/a> which will be held in Toronto on April 5 and 6. I’m glad to be able to pitch in to help out with this important gathering. I’m attending this year and I’m going to be part of two panels. One I can’t announce just yet, the other is an overview of Australian feminist porn.<\/p>\n

The conference aims to further discussion of the role that feminism can play in creating good, ethical porn. There’s going to be a wide variety of presentations from sex workers, porn stars, directors, activists, students and academics. There’s also a special focus on the porn business this year which is fantastic. Last year the inaugural conference went for one day; this year it’s increased to two days. It’s on after the Feminist Porn Awards which means there’s a total of four solid days of feminist porn fun to be had this year.<\/p>\n

My visit in 2013 was extremely fruitful. Last year’s visit resulted in Dear Jiz<\/em> and Fist of the Spider Woman<\/em>, both of which have screened at various festivals and made me very proud. I also met some amazing people and was able to make some good business connections. I hope to be able to do a lot of filming and networking when I’m in Toronto this time.<\/p>\n
