This year it seemed that fluid sexuality was a theme. The over-the-top drag antics of Ukraine came second, and the bisexual, camp glitter of Sweden’s entry was very enjoyable. The winner, Serbia’s Marija Serifovic, performed what seemed to be a lesbian love song called “Prayer of Love”, complete with meaningful hand-clasping and butch suits. I haven’t found any official reports that Marija is a lesbian but it’s hard not to read some kind of dyke politics into the performance.<\/p>\n
