\"Feminist<\/a>The nominations for the 2012 Feminist Porn Awards<\/a> have been announced and I’m pleased to say that my new feature The Thought Of Her has been nominated. I’m in good company. Well-known directors like Erika Lust, Petra Joy, Tristan Taormino, Courtney Trouble and Nica Noelle appear in the list along with a large number of new names. I think I’m going to have to do some research and find out more about some of the listed films.<\/p>\n

There are 40 titles nominated and, at a glance, it seems that only 10 are primarily “straight” in that they feature mainly straight sex or are aimed at a straight audience. Interesting. From what I can see, mine is the only film that focuses on male masturbation.<\/p>\n

There are also 16 website nominations, the most ever. For The Girls isn’t nominated as the rules insisted that only sites with all-exclusive content were eligible so I didn’t send in a submission.<\/p>\n

The awards are announced on Friday April 20 at a gala presentation night in Toronto. At an old church, of course.<\/p>\n
