Thanks to this article<\/a>, I now know that there’s an entire documentary devoted to the Speedo called Packed Lunch<\/em>. And I know that male Speedo briefs were invented in Sydney in 1960. Gay designer Peter Travis was commissioned by Speedo to produce a range of men’s swimwear and he decided that the best idea was to produce a pair of briefs worn from the hips.<\/p>\n

The doco looks at the history of Speedos and the fetishization of the garment, along with interviews with men who wouldn’t be without their dick-stickers.<\/p>\n

One man I met in Sydney has more than 5000 pairs of Speedos. Mark’s obsession began when his aunt bought him his first pair when he was a young boy; he showed me part of his collection – a mere 1200 pairs.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
