In April 2004 I created a new site called Porn Movies For Women. On it I showcased about 50 different porn titles that would appeal to women like myself. The main listing was Candida Royalle’s films, plus a few “couples porn” titles and Nina Hartley’s instructional movies.
Over time I added more films, more categories – porn for lesbians, reviews, sites – and it’s been expanding ever since.
The site is now ten years old! Happy birthday, you old thing! It’s still hand-edited using HTML which means it only gets updated occasionally. I’d like to migrate it to WordPress if I ever get time. I also need to think about changing the way I’m categorizing films – the films are still labelled according to potential audience. It’s not quite accurate… but it’s useful with search engines.
So today I added 15 new titles to the site, bringing the sum total of ten years’ worth of curating porn for women to over 500 films. I also added a review of Bed Party and a special page for my friends at Sensate Films, whose lovely erotic shorts are now available at Pink Label TV.
