The nominations for the 2012 Feminist Porn Awards have been announced and I’m pleased to say that my new feature The Thought Of Her has been nominated. I’m in good company. Well-known directors like Erika Lust, Petra Joy, Tristan Taormino, Courtney Trouble and Nica Noelle appear in the list along with a large number of new names. I think I’m going to have to do some research and find out more about some of the listed films.
There are 40 titles nominated and, at a glance, it seems that only 10 are primarily “straight” in that they feature mainly straight sex or are aimed at a straight audience. Interesting. From what I can see, mine is the only film that focuses on male masturbation.

There are also 16 website nominations, the most ever. For The Girls isn’t nominated as the rules insisted that only sites with all-exclusive content were eligible so I didn’t send in a submission.
The awards are announced on Friday April 20 at a gala presentation night in Toronto. At an old church, of course.
